OK, I know I can't send a simple message. Anyway leaving for Dominican Republic tomorrow. Hopeing to find some coin dealers. Should be interesting as we've never been to this island.

MadMarty went there (or somewhere in that part of the world, anyway), and took a detector and found an old gold coin with it!

I've been there.......... It is a beautiful place to visit, The Carribbean is the most beautiful green color. But, it's the first time i ever ate horse. Yes, Horse...........Pretty chewy stuff. People in line for 3 day's to get rationed gasoline. They really don't produce anything except for "Dominican Gasolina" Better known as Rum...... and of course the main product sugar cane. I stayed near an amber mine that had a cable car access that was awesome. The compound i stayed at had Uzi packing guard's. And refilled the name brand liquor bottle's with cheap mash bourbon and moonshine quality rum early in the morning before the guest could get wise. You couldn't go past the armed guard's on the beach, if you did.......They weren't responsible for your life. I never saw anything coin related except for the bank at the compound. Bought roll's of bank wrapped coin's of different denomination's. They are picky about cutting loose with their coinage. They also killed chicken's on the beach the night we got there to ward off a oncoming hurricane, Must have worked..... Don't eat the Sea Grape's.............. Don't drink the water and V-8 while expensive is well worth avoiding Montezuma's Revenge while maintaining your vitamin level's.
