Is the 2000-W Library of Congress 10$ Plat & Gold PCGS MS69 is maxed out price wise?

Issue price in 2000 was $405. Greysheet bid is $2,600. It has a low mintage of 6,683.
I bought these for the long term, but with high prices like this has me wondering if I should sell now.
Is eric96 or any other modern guys in the house?

If the proof issue were anything near 2.6K, I'd sell in a nano second!

The sad part is the proofs costs more than the uncs at issue price Bubblehead.
<< <i>was thier a max amount you could buy from the mint?? I wish I was around in 2000. Great choice >>
Thanks. There were no order limits on these from the US mint. I bought a few of these in Decemeber 2000 11:30 PM eastern standard time AKA at the last friggin minute. Back when the US mint was much easier to work with.

<< <i>I would imagine the intrinsic value of the precious metals is eating up the numismatic worth at the moment. >>
With only 1/4 ounce of gold and 1/4 ounce of platinumin the coin.....we are a long ways from that happening Coinhusker.
<< <i>I simply meant that the pm worth has increased while the numismatic value has not. >>
1/4 oz gold = approx $450+
1/4 OZ plat= approx $400+
Bid on the coin is $2,600 and back two years ago 2006 bid was $2,900. So the metals bull market has NOTHING to to with the price of this bid coin.

<< <i>They've maxed and have begun to move down. It used to be my favorite coin until I sold it for an obscene profit. >>
If it is indeed moving down you can make it your favorite coin again.
Well, just Love coins, period.
<< <i>I would hang on to these. I also didn't like the design when it came out, but have since come to regard it as a really beautiful coin. With the low mintage, I think it's a long-term hold--and always fun to look at. >>
I agree. They are actually some of my favorite coins in my collection. I love the bi metallic look and concept of the gold and platinum on one coin.
If you sold it, would you want one back in your collection in the future?
