Yes, I just bougt a subscription of Ebay, but first issue will not be to the house for approx. 8 weeks. Was hoping to pick up the Jan/Feb issue that is out now.
  • Speaking of the Digest, I found about 20-30 of the Baseball Digest and the Football Digest from the early to mid-90s while back at my parents house over the weekend. Some of the covers include Favre, Jeter, A-Rod, Ripken. Anyone want them? (I could be confusing those covers with SI that I also grabbed over the weekend.
I collect PSA graded 1980-81 Basketball.

If you happen to see any that mention the 1989 Fleer Bill Ripken card I'd be extremely interested. Unfortunately, Im unsure if any Baseball Digest's mention the FF card.

  • My dad passed away in Oct. 2006. I got his vintage card collection along with an amazing amount of Baseball Digest's from the 60's. And even more crazy (he saved everything), I now own about 20 6-8" thick binders containing Sporting News from the 50's and 60's (probably the 70's too, I haven't had time to look through them yet). It's gonna be a nostalgic journey through the history of sports when I find time to look through those.

Oh man, Baseball Digest. I read that all the time as a kid. Learned a TON about baseball from it. But I don't think I've seen a copy of it in at least 10 years...

  • I'm a subscriber but got the subscription as a birthday present, so I have no idea about where to get one. I would imagine they have a website that you can subscribe from.

Drop me your address and I'll send you one. They publish 10 times a year, monthly issues from Mar to Oct then combine Nov/Dec & Jan/Feb into one issue. LMK know what you need.

I had a "Letter to the Editor" published in 1976 (Rick Manning cover), which was pretty cool for a dorky 14 year old at the time...I saved that one though I haven't seen it in years..
