Ebay question

Guys

Tonight some auctions I had running went off. Some buyers won more then 1 auction and of course I want to discount/combine shipping. In the past i was able to do that at the invoice either by simply changing the amount and cliking recalculate or if that failed where it says + or - discounts. Long story short both times I tried doing it the amount went back to the default amt. I can't believe this.

All these troubles I have all go back to having a MAC.

Can anyone explain to me what I need to do?

    Good for you.
  • Make sure you have each card checked off on the left when you change the total. Also, when you have the correct amount entered, I think you can go to the next page and it will keep your newly entered amount there. This just happened to me too, and I think not having each card checked was part of the problem.

Thanks Prune, I had the 3 auctions all checked, my problem was I did not have to recalculate. Just fill in the proper amount and send. I thought for sure in the past I had to clik recalcualte.

EP touched on this, but if you just enter the correct amount for shipping and hit "preview" insted of recalculate it will take you to the next screen and as long as you send your invoice from the preview screen it will send the buyer an invoice with the corrected amount.

Of course, next time you list you should make sure you adjust your eBay preferences to account for your shipping discounts. If you have a simple shipping structure you shouldn't have any problems with future auctions. But I don't sell very often so you can take my advice with more than the normal grain of salt.
