Anyone notice how flat Brady was?

The announcers didn't seem to pick up on this, but he had no excitement, he was off target all night, no zip on the ball, and just plain dull.
And when he threw the potentially (at that time) game-sealing TD pass to Welker, he did a Payton Manning: Put his head down and walked
off the field. He's usually in the end zone celebrating with the guys.

maybe he just got the child support notice from another super model. image

Seriously though, the weather sucked and over the course of a season you are due to have a flat game or three. I bet he is having a toast with Maroney right now.

Looking for a Glen Rice Inkredible and Alex Rodriguez cards

A bunch of the players are recovering from the flu. Brady, although they didn't say he had it, was said to have had a touch of it. Good thing the team's got two weeks before AZ, 'cause he looked drained even before the start of the game.

Brady did seem to me to be flat. But the outcome of the game just goes to underscore what a "Team" the Patriots are.

"Teams" pick each other up. When one player is having an "off" game, the other team members pick up their games to compensate.

Brady hasn't been worse in a long, long time. Patriots' D won that one!

Maroney and Faulk helped out a TON as well!
  • Good defense and a solid running game helped take pressure off a sub-standard performance by brady today.
