Please Help Identify 1966 Batman Set - Real or Fake?

Hello -

I just received a set of 1966 Batman cards in the mail today which I'm trying to figure out if they're counterfeit or not. I originally thought that the set was the Riddler Back set, but according to the set registry the set only consists of 38 cards. The set that I received is 60 cards. The cards have a copyright date on the back of 1966.

Can anyone identify this set? I have a feeling that it may be fake and I want to get some opinions before I return it.

    no idea, but the cards looks sharp, too sharp maybe.

    What do the other 1966 batman cards look like?
    Running an Ebay store sure takes a lot more time than a person would think!

    Doubt they are counterfeit. In my opinion, counterfeiting cards would only be cost effective if they could be sold in mass quantity. the production costs associated with creating those cards would probably be too expensive for a one off.

    but it is NOT a one off this guy has been selling this set for ages,I know as I own a set !!!!!!!!! I would say fake all the way

    What are the odds that this guy in San Andres, Buenos Aires, Argentina has 7 complete MINT sets to sell in the last 2 months. One of his feedbacks thanked him for the reprinted cards. I wonder how well "KAPOW! EEE-YOW! SOCK!" translates into Spanish. Got to be FAKE!!

    Good day,
    This is not one of the Five (Or Six , if you count the two different Blue Back backs seperately) sets of Batman cards that were issued in 1966 by Topps. That being said, I have seen these before somewhere. I don't know if it was the fakes being sold or what, I remember that I almost pulled the trigger once, but after some checking, decided no Provenance so must be fake.

    He never says Topps though, and the pictures are clear. Neat set - just not at that price. Tough one.image
