what year were these inserted into packs,60's- i was gone i think

found a cool reds on when they whomped the tigers in ws in 1940, only 3 guys are still alive, ed joost,just got signed by him in mail today,hes 91 years old, lonny frey 97,i sent to back out to him today,and bill werber 99 will be next and the last one that can sign it,i guess the tigers guys are all dead from what i have researched,all 3 guys were reds that are alive

    They were their own set (Fleer/Laughlin) in 1968 and 1971.

    figured i was gone, i like em though,ill have to check out the werber thing if i can find it tomorrow on the web,hes the oldest mlb payer,with emilio navarro being 102 or 3 and still iving - negro leaguer

    They were what we bought when the Topps cards ran out. They were an interesting read, and the cartoons were fun, but a very poor substitution. And the gum was worthless.

    That pretty much sums up Fleer legacy...
    Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?
