I initially started out wanting to build a collection of Indian Eagles. Since these coins are expensive, I asked around and compiled a list of some recommended dealers and contacted them about helping me. While they were polite, it was clear to me that they weren't interested in more clients. At least not me. I decided to collect a much less expensive series and not work with a dealer. While I'm sure I will make mistakes, they won't be expensive mistakes and hopefully I'll learn from them and eventually become good or at least competent in grading the series on my own.
