I picked this up a few days ago...a familiar photo on the front...
It's a roster / schedule / ticket info booklet for the 1971 season. I wonder if this predated the Topps card

I remember opening 1st series packs in early March, it was my first year anticipating cards and I checked the store every day. By spring break a month later we were into the 2nd series, and 3rd series had been out a while by the time school got out in mid June.
Great thread, and great work Dan on tracking down the game!
Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

Sorry but I feel a shameless need to show off my 71 Munson.

Yes, I am famous. If you would like to mail the photo to me, I would be happy to autograph it.
If so, it doesn't show up in the Topps card.

I agree. What a fun thread. I loved reading the old box score. I never knew another angle of the photo existed.
