I am a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan from about 1978 onwards(I was too young before then). After the sadness of hearing about his death, I started thinking about the Steel Curtain. This is going to sound really crass but they have just lost economic opportunity when he passed away. They appeared together at many shows, now they cannot. I mentioned this to my buddy and he said it goes deeper than that because Ernie Holmes' replacement was Steve Furness(sp) and he had already passed, so there can't even be a Steel Curtain Part II. It is sad to see my childhood heroes pass away. I can't believe so much time has passed.
