PSA Internal Memo ...

I'm not going to do it, but if someone really wanted to know what went on inside PSA, someone should file a BP Section 17200 action, do some discovery, and see what was the impetus that led to the decision to implement half grades.

    I made a polite/public request that the non-proprietary raw-data
from the market research be shared here. I believe those docs would
satisfy everybody that the decision was LARGELY "market driven."

That does not mean that there is no dollar motivation; and, such
    motive is totally proper.

A look at the CLCT filings makes it fairly clear that PSA is under some
pressure to contribute more to the pot. The new model should move
PSA as close to the PCGS relative-percentages as is possible; considering
the pricing differences and market sizes.

The new scheme is pro-shareholder. I suspect, a year from now, most
collectors will see that they have benefitted from it, too.
