    A guy had a 1980 Charlotte Ripken up for sale recently. He acknowledged that he had pulled the card due to concerns that it was a counterfeit. With that, he said that he was selling it as a counterfeit. However, in the listing he was offering what he thought the card would come out as when submitted for grading.

    Do real cards like that even exist? The "blank back" 1982 Ripken I mean.

    if he grades cards monthly shouldn't he have it graded psa 10 or bgs 9.5 and sell for lots o cash???? it should only take about a month to get 10x his openign bid

    exactly some people don't know when to shut up in their own listings. Maybe a dog ate his PSA membership and he can't submit anymore.

    I like how it makes it look like someone came in and posted that the card is real... even though its all in caps (like all of his answers) and has quite a few spelling errors.

    If it was a fake, that's a victory in itself and maybe people are learning something. Fakes have sold for over $900.

    FWIW I requested a scan, but it was after I gave him a link to my site. With that being said, he wouldn't send me a higher resolution scan.
