Jose Canseco's new book will be titled "Vindicated"

Where I'm sure he will gloat a bit. He says he will name more people that have used steroids including some "huge" names.
To be released on opening day. The steroid controversay is not going to go away anytime soon.

Who is publishing it? Didn't somebody turn it down?

Yes, there is a new publisher but I don't recall who it is.

There could be more trouble for Roger Clemens, rumor has it that Canseco will have a section in the book detailing conversations he
had with Roger talking about steroids while they were playing a golf game in Florida.

I've always been a big fan of Canseco's but private conversations should remain private. If it's something he saw with his own eyes, then it's ok to talk about it. But if Roger put his trust in him, then it's kinda f'd up to reveal what was said. Canseco is lucky he's not in the mob world.

I doubt that. If there's any conversation about Clemens in his new book, it's going to be either positive for the Rocket or a clarification about what he originally wrote in his first book. Canseco has publicly come out and states that he firmly believes Roger is actually innocent of the Mitchell charges. I'm not talking about inuendo or implied opinion. He flat out thinks that Roger is innocent. You can hear the entire broadcast conversation (35 min. long) over at WEEI's audio vault where canseco talks about Roger for quite a bit.

Not sure if this direct link will work, but if not, you can navigate to it from their main page WEEI > Audio Vault > The Big Show - "Canseco"

By the way, he does mention the Golf Tournament incident in this discussion and states that McNamee is lying about some key details.
  • Well, who knows? What he said in the past might simply be forgotten for the benefit of selling the book. A juicy private conversation
with Clemens made public is going to create a lot of interest. The person who is helping him write the book when asked if there is anything
in the book was evasive saying he didn't want to spoil anything before it is published.

That should read "anything about Clemens"

All I'm saying is listen to what he's saying in the interview. It is very obvious that he is Roger's friend and is not going to turn on him. The bomb that the book is going to deliver is going to be about Arod.

    A rat is a rat
  • He is a slimy rat. BUT when everyone was trying to cover up, he was pushing the issue.
For his own gain i suppose, since it is all about him in his mind.
