Player additions

Does anyone from PSA read these boards?

I have about 25-30 player adds to the Puckett Master Registry, some I've just recently added but some are from mid-October. I have player adds outstanding from 10-17, 10-25, 10-29, 11-19, 11-27, 12-7, 12-8 and a couple more in Jan. 08.

I understand these take time to add but when I emailed in November the reply was that the player add group was 1 1/2 months behind. Now they seem 3 months behind???

Much of the fun in buying raw to submit to PSA is in not only the satisfaction in receiving a great grade but adding to my registry set. I've submitted over 150 cards in the last month alone and most were cards that will be player adds. Do I really need to set expectations of summer or later to have these added to my set??

I'm sure the registry is lower priority than grading but please take note that they both are the value for which I have chosen PSA as my grader of choice.

Yes, Carol reads the boards, so watch what you say. image

It's definitely a process, but a necessary evil. I have waited as much as 6 months to get cards added to the registry, and have even had cases where after 3-4 months I have had to re-request. It is a little frustrating, but just another part of "the chase."

The McGwire Master set is up to 2660 cards, but not even close to what it should be. I have about two dozen that I resubmitted last night and hope to have back before my most recent submission pops...in June...image

I know the requests are not lost as I resubmitted the October ones in November and Gayle responded by email that they had my request from 10-17 but they were still finishing up September at that time.

I guess I'm just pouting more than anything as I'm excited to have a dozen or so 1/1's that will move me up the registry and I'm chomping at the bit to have them added.

I feel for you and I agree about how part of the fun is getting to add your cards to the registry. In my opinion, when requesting cards be added to Master Sets it shouldn't take that long, but I don't really know what it takes from the back end to make it all happen.

Anyway, I read a few days ago that they were currently working on requests that were submitted in September so I'd give them another month.
  • One thing I do is make sure that I receive that "form" email that their system kicks out when I make a request. In the past, when I have not received that email, they have not made the adds and I have had to re-request. So now, I always resubmit the request the same day if I have not received that "form" email with an hour.

I just had a card added to the Gwynn master set that I requested on around Sept. 29, so they should be moving on to Oct. requests soon.
