Wade Phillips looking for a new job in a few days?

Depends on how angry Jerry Jones is, as others have said that expression on his face was priceless.

I dont think Phillips told Romo to throw the ball down the middle of the field into coverage... I bet he is more angry at Romo than Phillips!

He said he wouldn't fire him, but you never know. If more teams come sniffing around Jason Garrett he may have second thoughts.

Speaking of second thoughts, if Dungy retires imagine Jason Garrett at the helm in Indy. WOW.

The Indy job would be one in where I think Cowher would change his mind, too!

I agree Mark, I'm from Tony's home town Jackson, MI and the word is he's going to retire, he has so many other things he wants to do. I think Cowher makes a great choice...

You never know what the "maniac" Jerry Jones is going to do. Everything went right for the Cowboys this season and the end result was a first round playoff loss...that's not good for Wade Phillips, especially with his NFL playoff track record of 0 - 4....and it's clear why...the 2nd half offensive play calling was absolutely atrocious. If Jones thinks he can get somebody better, then he will.

Wouldn't surprise me. There was very little discipline during the last four games. The second half of this game was a mess - dropped passes, stupid penalties, receivers quitting on routes, etc. It's funny how the media seems to be harping on the final interception (hello...it was fourth down...and apparently no one was open), but they don't mention Crayton stopping on a route the play before that would have won the game. That's twice he blew it.
  • There are four NFL head coaching jobs open right now, Jason Garrett I'm sure is on some of those teams "want to interview list".
Jerry Jones has to decide if he wants to keep Wade Phillips and risk Garrett going to another team. Of course who knows if Garrett
wants to remain with the Cowboys.

I think if something is going to happen it might be this week since the NFL frowns on any big deal making during the two weeks leading up to the Super Bowl (sort of a gentlemens agreement among the owners) not to have anything distract from the Super Bowl.
