How do these end up in places like this?

Definitely something I have been seeking for years, but better judgement tells me that this is not the one for me (unjustified price/poor photos/lack of certification/seller does not sell coins). Perhaps a pawn shop coin?

My Ebay
It just struck me as odd that the guy has 1 coin to sell, with no coin sold in recent eBay history, and it happens to be a tough sede vacante taler from 1790. Not exactly your run-of-the-mill world coin.
