Do The PSA Labels On These High End Cards Look Odd?

Seller forazzurri2axz has a lot of "high-end" cards currently on ebay (listed below - sorry for the capitalization, I copied and pasted). Do the PSA labels on each of the cards look odd? Here's a link to a listing of his auction:

To me, that Drysdale flip just doesn't look right. Neither does the Williams...

    ...but I'm no expert.

I see what you mean about the labels.

It is prolly the white color of the labels
playing havoc with the scanner's eyeballs.

If only a few were like that, it might mean something
else. But, they are ALL messed up in the same area.

  • They are the old label. I bet there is a PSA hologram on the flip side.

  • I think it's lousy scans, but I can see what you mean--I'd be hesitant too--I can't make out the psa in the bottom right corner on most of those flips...
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Looking for Al Hrabosky and any OPC Dave Campbells (the ESPN guy)
  • You have to look at the card. I love how everyone is out to question the authenticity of multiple PSA graded cards and sellers, even when the card looks appropriate for the grade. If the 8 looks like a 6, then I would worry.

    The labels are perfectly fine.
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."
  • I don't see any issues with the PSA labels, but some folks always seem to be on high alert, even if not warranted. image

I've had a few labels where they were cut a little long and were bent to get into the slab. This seemed to show a different color in the middle of the flip because it was up against the front of the slab while the ends were touching the back of the slab. It gave a distinct pink color in the middle of the flip when there was really no noticable difference when viewed.

Just a scanner issue. I wouldn't be concerned.

They look fine. Just went a little overboard with the photo editor.
