Can a 6 have paper loss on the back?

Was checking out this card:

And noticed the paper loss on the back. What gives?

    Possible missing ink??
  • I do not think paper loss would be within a 6's guidelines, no.

    I think Singray is spot-on.

With paper loss, you'd be lucky to manage a 4. Paper loss is pretty serious, right up there with a crease.

EDIT: Sorry, didn't realize the card was already graded; I must say that is a super weak 6. Not just the paper loss but the small stain as well as that very soft LR corner. Geez, whatever happened to "no allowance is made for age" in grading? image

I have an E98 PSA 6 with paper loss on the back.
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
