Is there any better visual impact than a Capital Plastic Holder?

I would find it hard pressed to find one! Post an image of one you have or any other cool display with coins!

About 30 yrs ago or so, I built up a set of Franklins and mounted them in a blue Capital Plastics Holder and hung it on a spare bedroom wall. I did the same with a mint set of Morgan silver dollars and ASEs and a type set of halves. They look pretty neat and when we have guests, they almost always comment on them.

I've always thought that Capitol Plastics holders are great for displaying sets or select singles. You can even have them custom made. I agree, there's something about "white" silver on black that makes for big "visual impact."

  • Beautiful. I got all my older than 59 mint sets in them and pre 55 proof sets in the white ones.

    Fantastic,

I don't use these holders since I am not allowed to display coin stuff. image

I have to stick with albums for now.

Not my best Peace Dollars, but I do like the display.

Yes, I have always liked the look of the Capital holders. I have a 1st year of issue set of 63/64 Morgans, a War Nickel set, a 1967 Canadian Set, a short set of Mercury Dimes and also my "Favorites" set (my favorite none Gold coins of each denomination, Morgan $, Walking Liberty Half, Standing Lib quarter, Mercury Dime, Buffalo Nickel and a Flying Eagle cent) in those holders. I sometimes display them at our local coin show and receive favorable comments.
    Best wishes,
    Pete

For my next collecting adventure, I purchased this:

It is designed to be a seated coin proof type set, but I am likely going to use it for some other seated type set (not proof). I have not yet decided what.

Both displays are terrific! Not just the quarters, but the translucent blue holder. I've got one for V nicks in that shade. image
