Finally completed Proof kennedy set

I finally found a "not as nice as I'd like" 71-S (PR68Cameo) to finish my Kennedy set. I think that once it gets updated by PCGS it will tie me at #5. I'd love to update the 71. Given the prices of pr70's these days (they seem to go for over $500 a piece on Teletrade), this is pretty liable to stay a PR69DCAM set for the forseeable future.

  • Congratulations. Both for completing the set and for being in the top 5. Mine is (2) coins shy from completion. It will not make the present Top 10. Since I got serious about finishing this set, the bar for Top 10 has been raised several times.

    Congratulation Pete.

It's always nice to complete a set and to make the top five
    is quite an accomplishment.

  • Congratulations!! I need one coin to complete my Kennedy set and then on to upgrading. I will never be near the top because I won't spend the money for the 70's that it takes.image

A beautiful set to say the least. I enjoy hearing fellow collectors complete sets. What's your next set you plan to tackle?

  • I'm 'playing' with a bunch of things, including modern commems, b ut the hard one right now seems to be filling in the early 70's Jefferson nickels and Lincoln cents (trying to fill out both of those sets).

Congratulations! Just having completed my set I know how hard it is to obtain nice coins. It took about 2 years of daily searching in all the nooks and cranies and being on a limited budget. Kennedys are the only set I collect and probably ever will. You have a fantastic looking set. Now onwards and upwards, can't let sleeping dogs lie. Now #5, how long before #4? Good luck! Ray
