OT - Why I'll be gone for a week

My grandson is in Jamaica on R&R from Iraq, so the Beautiful Bride and I will be joining him and his parents at Montego Bay for a week after a redeye from LAX Wednesday night.

When you see that young man, give him a hug, shake his hand, and then pat him on the back. You tell him that there is a Detective in NC that says, GIVE EM HELL!!!!! (To those that don't support the war, at least support the troops. They are only doing as they are told, which is their job!)

We're back.

My grandson greatly appreciated the comments and compliments that were posted, and he's back in the DC area with my daughter and her family for a few more days before he heads back for the final five months of his tour. Please keep him in your prayers for a safe return.

The Beautiful Bride and I have previously cruised in the Caribbean, but this was our first time in Jamaica. We will be going back. I honestly can't recall any other vacation trip that was so just plain relaxing - or as the Jamaicans say "No problem mon!"

Most business was transacted in US dollars, but I did gather in a few Jamaican coins and a couple of hundred dollar (~US$1.50) bills.
