Mantle PSA Card..your opinion please.

Check out this Mantle PSA 9 OC card, Ebay Item number: 140196167843. Front is great, back is 90-10 according to the seller, which I thought was within specs. Looks like an old holder (label printing). Anyway, what is your opinion? Thanks.

In general, the old holdered cards seem inferior, that one appears from the scan to be an exception.

  • It dont look (oc) enough to me to diserve that horible (oc) mark, but that could just be the scan, an intimate look at it may reveal something else. The scan looks looks like it had a chance to get the 9 by itself image sorry, i just hate Qs on any card

The front looks fine, it's not o/c. I would bet the back is centered more like 5/95 or slightly more o/c than the seller is saying and therefore it got the o/c qualifier. I would have the seller send a scan of the back for you to judge it for yourself. Many sellers are off in judging centering.

If it's within range for centering on the back (10/90 or better), it's worth the gamble then. I would buy that card and have PSA review it to get the qualifier removed.

    Good luck.....

Yes, PSA will give you an OC for the back of the card, does not have to be only the front.

Who cares about the back image? That card is a great example of a bargain card, now will it straight nine, maybe not but you might get them to 8 it if the back isn't miss cut on the back.

I received a scan of the back from the seller... looks to me that if you caught a grader on a good day it would be a straight 9, but man its pretty o/c on the back
