Well, as usual, a description in a Stack's auction catalogue leaves something to be desired.
The catalogue describes the mark as a triangle, followed by "B*C-Bronze." Well, the triangle part is correct. However, from what I can make out, the triangle is followed by IVRBE. Does anyone know what that means? Maybe an attempt to strike CUIVRE (copper)?
Nevertheless, the metal almost certainly is bronze.
