2007 American Eagle Platinum Uncirculated Set GONE!

It seems with Platinum Spot at or near $1550 that makes the American Eagle Platinum Uncirculated Coins Set about $55 or so dollars from spot.
Still a big chunk of change. Yet, the MINT continues to sell them; as others on the forum have noted: these may be a sell-out when the MINT runs out as they purchased the platinum at a less price than the current spot. I put in for one set.

The Mint might regard these as a liquidation, since melting and reprocessing them would only add to their costs at this point. You would be hard-pressed to buy platinum at such a low premium to melt anywhere else. And they won't be making any more of these.

My numbers show Plat @ $1,562 and the 4 coin UNC set at only 2.9% above spot. If you credit card gives 1% cash back, that is quite a slim margin for buying plat..... but it also means buying high.

Amen! It has been a challenging last year to predict the tops as they QUICKLY dissipate into fresh highs and seemingly lost cause lows.

Awesome. I just sent in 4 MS70 First Strike 2007 Plat coins to Teletrade for them to sell. Looks like my timing was ideal.

I see you are still paying attention to the changing reverse plats. I hope the 4 coin Unc-w set is dead for good. I hope the quarter and half are running low also ....and they should be if typical striking relationships beween the denominations hold true. If the half and quarter come in around the low 4000s then they will be nice coins in a few years.

Yes, it looks as if the Set is dead for 2007 as it lists under "No Longer Available" in the "Product Availability" section on the Mint's website.
Wow, around 4000? I wasn't aware it was that low and that close to the 2006 fractionals.
