Four head coaching positions open in the NFL

With the departure of Joe Gibbs in Washington there are now four head coaching jobs open in the NFL.

Redskins
Dolphins
Ravens
Falcons

Most appealing is probably the Redskins since they have the foundation of a good team to work with.

The Dolphins and Falcons are going to be a major rebuilding effort and will take a certain kind of coach who wants
that challenge.

If I took over the Ravens job I would focus on getting a QB who will not be questionable every single week. And maybe a decent WR to go with Mason...

Miami, so we can continue to confuse him with Dave Wannestadt.

Cowher and Tuna working together? Not sure if that is a good combination being they are both kind of headstrong.

I think Washington would be the team that suits him. If he went to Baltimore I think it would be odd for him and Pittsburgh.

I don't think Cowher will coach next year. If he does, he'll need to get a divorce. However, I also wouldn't be surprised if he does take a job if someone offers him a boatload of money. But I'd say it's <50-50 he coaches next year.

My opinion is he won't be as successful with another organization. He benefited from the strong scouting dept of the Steelers. If he had his way, the Steelers would have drafted Shane Andrews instead of Roethlisberger in '04. No way the Steelers go to the superbowl with Turnover Tommy Maddox at QB. He always stuck with subpar QBs too long. His best chance would be to build a strong defensive team like the 2000 Ravens. That's probably the only way he wins a SB with another team. He just doesn't put enough value on the passing game.
