seen enough of osu vs the sec.

this shouldnt be allowed anymore. what are they 0-9 now vs sec teams?

need a playoff for ncaa.

hate to say this after the fact. but it was the best bet of the football season. i got crushed by the jags -3 and the skins + 3.5 this week.

but this makes it all better 38-17 lsu osu cant compete with the sec!

  • Maybe Ohio State will consider a stronger schedule in the future. Beating up on the likes of Kent State, Akron, and Youngstown State is a far cry from the SEC talent.

OSU started out great just like last year. They got whooped just like last year too.

I didn't watch the game last night, I think the way this championship thing has been dragged out for such a long time until Jan. 7 just
zapped my interest in even watching it. LSU won? yawn, was there ever a doubt?

Ohio St had no answers defensively. That was supposed to be their strong suit, but LSU had plenty of answers. I still hate the fact that you have a National Championship game played right in a teams back yard though. The site needs to be more neutral. Similar situation with USC in the Rose Bowl, some Florida team in the Orange, etc... I don't think that was a huge difference maker in this game or anything, but one never knows. How would LSU do in the shoe with 30 degree temps? They should really reconsider designating one of the bowls for the championship game until after the match-up has been determined. Again, I'm not saying it would have made a difference but anybody who has played sports knows there's a comfort of playing at home.

    Congrats to LSU...

Me too. When you have players like Alex Boone at Ohio State that say the following, you can guarantee they are going nowhere:

We're thinking this game was going to be a lot easier than it was. That was our mistake.

"We score early and we're thinking, 'Man, these guys are nothing.' Then we went back out and got a field goal on the next possession and are thinking this is going to keep happening. Then they stopped us and we didn't know what to do."

So much for playing the full 60 minutes. Way to sell out your stud running back who played his butt off. Congrats to LSU, they obviously didn't have a bunch of gutless pigs on their team. They deserve it.

  • Got to agree with you on a neutral site, with LSU around 80 miles away it was a home game for all practical purposes.

The Pac 10 will always have an extra advantage in the Rose Bowl against the Big 10 especially if it is USC or UCLA. I don't see them
ever changing that because of the parade and all of the tradition surrounding it.
  • Actually during the last 6 years the Big Ten has a 9-8 advantage in 17 games. Michigan has dominated the SEC with a 35-9 record. WOW

Funny the SEC apologists say nothing of Michigan's drubbing of Jorts Nation, a beating that should've been in the 55 point range instead of 41.
