Bob Sanders - NFL Defensive Player of the Year

At 5'8'', Bob Sanders is the NFL Defensive Player of the Year? Really, how crazy is that? I'm also 5'8'', but I also have AT LEAST 60 pounds less muscle mass than Sanders and probably run the 40 in at least one second longer. I used to have dreams of playing in the NFL. Then I scored 40 yard tickets, five rows from the field to a Chargers-Raiders game, saw Zach Crockett (a big guy, but nowhere near the biggest), and thought if he hit me, I would die instantly on the spot. I could not believe how big the guys were and how fast the game was. Truly amazing.

Sanders grew up a mile from my house, went to the same high school I went to (several years after me). He was a pretty good running back and DB back in the day. Back then he still went by Demond.
