Not me! Congrats to him for playing well
  • Bucs D was too one dimensional, focused too much on stopping the run, allowed Manning to pass at will. Oh well, the Bucs surprised everyone by winning the division after being picked by most everyone to finish last (many saying they'd be lucky to win 4 games). While not the end to the season that was wanted, I'd still call it a success.

Yup, I was the one who said that. Speaking of bringing up old statements, shouldnt you be showing a Patriots icon in your sig-line?
  • Bucs pass defense was #1 in the NFL this year...#2 overall.

Eli has picked apart this vaunted passing D. This was the good Eli ...... great playoff performance! That last drive was a killer. 92 yards and over 1/2 a quarter in time off the clock.

Why the surprise? He looked great last week, and finally got some good weather to play in. He's playing with confidence and is very very sharp.

The Whelchaneers were no match image
  • Why the surprise? Its not like Eli has a great record of playing well, he was ranked, what, 20th in passer rating this year?

Giants led the league in dropped passes and they've been playing in some tough weather conditions. Without that he would have had a decent year.
  • Eli led the league with 20 INTs. It wasn't dropped passes that doomed his passer rating.

They showed during the game that Giants WR's dropped the most passes in the league, however I saw a few of his passes were off target where WR's had to really stretch out for some of these poorly thrown balls. Some of these drops were Eli's fault.

You're right about that, but he's just not as bad as the stats show. Last week and this week show you that.

I think most would agree that Eli needs to play more consistently.
  • He's not as bad as the stats show? He threw INTs in 12 of the 16 games this season, 6 times throwing multiple picks.

I TOTALLY AGREE! This is no surprise at all, please let me introduce the other Manning you really have no clue of. The Pats game was a big boost for Eli and the Giants that gave them confidence.

Exactly, and he just owned the number one pass defense team in the league. But I guess it's too much for us to expect a troll to acknowledge that image

And Eli just picked that #1 Pass Defense apart. How sweet it is! image

"The answer was in the Patriots eyes. Gone were the swagger and c0ck sure smirks, replaced by downcast eyes and heads in hands. For his poise and leadership Eli Manning was named the game's MVP. The 2007 Giants were never perfect nor meant to be. They were fighters, scrappers....now they could be called something else, World Champions."

migman/ax- so your saying the only way for you to believe someone thought the Giants would win is by placing a sports bet? You keep saying that over and over, can't someone just say, "Hey I think the Giants almost beat the Pats and the Bucs may be out of sync from so much rest so I think they will win?" That isn't that crazy to think that and the millions of Giants fans out there believed it just because they are fans, no betting needed.

  • It's incredibly easy to come back after the fact and say they 'knew' the Giants were going to win. I see it all the time, people talking after the fact, afraid to make predictions beforehand, when these same people bash others who do dare to make predictions.

Midgetman is obsessed with sports betting. Unless you bet, and prove it, you have no voice. Twisted, I know, very twisted...but that's his world. What a strange place it must be.

Hey Midgetman, remember when I told you TB was going down? I didn't wager a dime. Guess what, they went down. Does that make me wrong?

No, it makes me r-i-g-h-t. Deal with it. Seek help, dude....

    Dave

PS Get a part time job (Burger King?) and make up for your boner TB bets. And then give it up.

Always looking for original, better date VF20-VF35 Barber quarters and halves, and a quality beer.
