Hello,I decided that it is time for a giveaway.
I have had the pleasure of searching through a hoard of about 74 BU quarter rolls(2960 coins) dates as follows:
No. of rolls
1955-------1
1955-D----1
1956-----11
1957-------7
1958-----18
1959-------1
1959-D----1
1960-------5
1961-D----4
1962-------4
1963------16
1963-D----1
1964-------3
Rules:
All you have to do to win is guess the number of type "B" reverse coins that i found in this hoard. These were coins from my father's estate that he saved since the 1950's and 60's.
The closest guess to the actual number of BU type "B" reverse coins that i found in the hoard will win a BU 1957 type "B" reverse quarter and a 1957 type "A" reverse quarter to compare it to. One guess per member and NO EDITING POSTS allowed. If there is a tie i will flip a coin or draw a card to determine a winner. These are uncertified coins. Any member is allowed to guess. This contest will close Tuesday night Jan. 8th at 11:59P.M.EST.--any post after that time will be disallowed for contest purposes. Winner will be announced after the contest closes in the first post. Thanks, Bob
The correct answer is 214. The winner is RickMilauskas with a guess of 191. Congratulations Mr Rick Milauskas!! The breakdown is as follows:
1956---- 0 (had 11 rolls but no type B's)
1957----137 (only 7 rolls of these but a lot of B's)
1958-----18
1959-----40 (only had one roll of these and they are all type B.)
1960------2
1961------0
1962------0
1963------0 (16 rolls no type B's)
1964-----17
They seemed to pretty concentrated--ty that i mean that if i found one 1 in a roll i usually found several in the same roll. I do believe there are other original rolls of type B reverse coins still out there.

I'll guess 7 type B reverses. Thanks for the giveaway and the chance to own one of these. Sounds like a nice hoard to go through as well as for sentimental reasons.
