Well, I finally took the plunge and joined Collector's Universe. I recently entered all of my cards in the registry and there were a few that I was unable to enter because they were still in others registered sets. No problem. I can understand the oversight.
I also had one card that I was unable to enter because the cert. # on the card didn't match with the number in the database. I wouldn't be concerned if it was Gene Freese. But this is the Mantle. How often have data entry errors occurred for others?
I checked my spreadsheet and I see that I purchased this card from Teletrade way back in the Summer of 2001. Wasn't that the WIWAG era? Hope I didn't get hosed.

Did you take the cert number off your excel sheet when entering it? If so recheck the actual card as you may have made a mistake.
WIWAG exchanged cards not certs so I doubt that was the problem.

Any opinions on the slab and/or flip. I think they look okay.
I checked your cert# for the Mantle and the PSA data base shows this to be for a 1956 Topps
PSA 7 Gene Woodling? I would give them a call as I'm sure they just made a typo.

A quick email ussually solves the problem. They will probably ask for a picture of the card. I encounter this problem every now and then.
