Because two of the most juvenile posters here are Tampa fans is not reason to believe they can't beat NY. At home I think they win.

At least the senior citizen qb doesn't choke year in and year out in the playoffs.

The only good thing about the game it they don’t have to play the Seattle D, i.e. the 'Dancing Blue Jackals'. They put the Caddy up on blocks. Knocked old Garcia half silly as well.

I expect the Giants will punish these girls as well, even though the G-Men are just a slightly above average team. Then again, that's MORE than enough to handle the Yuks.

So sad…one and done. Maybe next year?

Too bad there has to be a winner in this game. They both suck. Whichever team wins this game will lose the next.
  • Personally, I don't even care. Yeah, I want to see the Bucs win since I'm a huge fan. However, I already see this season as a success since we were picked to win 4 games and won 9 without even playing our starters the past 2 weeks vs. very beatable teams. It doesn't matter who wins the NFC, they'll ultimately lose to whoever the AFC puts out there whether it's the Jags, Steelers, Colts or Pats.

Now there's a winning attitude. "Just win 4, baby!"

  • Well we proved everyone wrong even without our 1st and 2nd string RB's. I don't mean it as a success, but as a surprise. Consider it poor word choice on my part. And talk about a winning attitude, no one in New York city has won anything of significance since 2000.

I am rooting for the Bucs since I am going.
No, I am not a homer and rooting for them since I live here. I've been a Steelers fan my whole life.
I just want to see a good game and get my money's worth.

Funny because if it wasnt for Kevin and his ridiculas Yucs banter and Axtell being a fan I would never give the Bucs a second thought- either liking or disliking them. BUT since this is the CU Sportstalk forum I denounce the YUCS!

But I dont like NY either but only because Im a Boston guy... image

Weighing out the two teams and keeping my personal feelings out of it, I think Tampa Bay is going to win this game.

Dave, Ive got my tickets to tomorrows Seahawk game, how bout you? Ill be the guy wearing the Steve Largent Jersey.

I dont think it matters who wins between the Yucs and the Giants, neither can beat Dallas. But I think the G-men take it, 27-17, give or take. Hopefully the good Eli shows up.

I am also taking this opportunity to say that the Seahawks are going to beat the Packers, in Green bay, next week. I gotta feeling man...

    GO HAWKS!!

Joe, I'll be there watching the Hawks, Section 317. That place is going to be L-O-U-D!

I'm a but nervous about the game, to be 100% honest. Given the emotional ride Washington is on, they scare me. Maybe the ride will end tomorrow? Hope so. They have had essentially four playoff games in a row --- lose any, and they would have been history. Dang, why can't we be playing the Yuks?!? How did the G-Men get so lucky?

But I have the SAME feeling you have about the Pack. The Packers can be beaten, even at home. We'll get them this time.

Sleep tight, and start dreaming about all those false start penalties which will be reigning down on the Skins....

I love freaking Hawk fan..".Im a bit nervous, I might wet my pants...blah blah blah." Your team either rules the world, or you were
the benifit of a sucky NFC West...which is it?

The bucs are headed to the super bowl where they will pick up their 2nd ring in 4 years, that will be two more than the Hawks, and two
more than the Eagles, and if I was younger than 12, two more than the Cowgirls!

This isn't even going to be a close game. Garcia is a GIANTS KILLA, and our defense is going to be making Eli walk the plank! The bucs
are just plain scarry at home, and we OWN Favre, so I'm not going to even break a sweat until late January when I have to start
worring about the refs giving games away!

You see, that is the difference between you all and I. I KNOW my team is going to dominate, and you all stick one hand up in the air, say
"go team" and then show up at the end IF they win.

Can you say "One for each hand?"

    I can

Anybody read up on the sorry Bucs "fans" who are either too poor to go to a football game or there just is not enough of them to fill that stupid stadium. Tickets were offered only to Florida residents (a complete joke) until they realized this violated consumer law AND ...... AND that they just could not sell this game out without Giants fans flocking to Florida!

<< <i>Too Bad the Bucs have a wait list for season tickets that is in the thousands. Yep, we sure can't sell out games. >>

whatever man! The FACT is the only "wait list" for this playoff game are TICKET BUYERS.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Wild Card playoff game vs. the New York Giants is just three days away from kickoff, yet Raymond James Stadium is not yet sold out.

According to the Buccaneers, less than 500 tickets remain for Tampa Bay's home playoff game vs. the Giants. Although it is not sold out yet, the Bucs-Giants playoff contest is not in danger of being blacked out locally.

Sunday's playoff game at Raymond James Stadium is expected to sell out, especially since Ticketmaster and the Buccaneers agreed Thursday to open ticket sales to residents outside of the state of Florida.

Up until Thursday's development, ticket sales for Tampa Bay's home playoff game were restricted to Florida residents in an effort to keep New York fans and residents from buying unsold playoff tickets.

But according to the Associated Press, New York attorney general Andrew Cuomo contacted Ticketmaster on Thursday regarding some potential legal issues with Ticketmaster's policy.

"It raises issues, interstate commerce issues," Cuomo told the Associated Press. "There are constitutional prohibitions against states discriminating against other states' residents or impeding business by other states. There are possible discrimination issues."

Ticketmaster and the Buccaneers have made a joint decision to make tickets available to residents outside of the state of Florida.

"We see no legal issue with a team or venue choosing to make certain tickets available only to local residents for a particular event; however, with our client the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' permission, and as a goodwill effort, we lifted the restrictions earlier today," Ticketmaster spokesman Joseph Freeman said in the statement published by the Associated Press.

Having trouble selling out for an NFL playoff game? The Tampa Bay area should be ashamed of itself for such lack of support.
  • I never said anything about playoff games. I just know that regular season tickets aren't available because of season ticket holders. There are only 500 seats left anyways. It'll be sold out. And even if it isn't, who cares?

Hey thats fine. More tickets for Giant fans! I understand the Bucs sell out regular season games. Why would anybody plunk the cash down for season tickets only to shun PLAYOFF tickets? That is nuts. Is it the extra cost? This does not make sense. But to answer your question of "who cares" I would say that it is always pretty damn sad when a professional sports team can't sell out post season games. Period. People who shell out cash for season tickets should be able to take the "hike" when it comes to real time ...... PLAYOFFS.

Anyway, I like how the Bucs spinned this in the press when changing the policy toward out of state residents. They claim this was done to fill the need for "numerous" out of state Buc fans image yeah .... get ready for at least a minor BIG BLUE invasion to do nothing but fart on the silly rally towels the Bucs are leaving on every seat image

Let me see - Eli Manning in a playoff game, or Jeff Garcia...wonder who has the advantage here?

I don't think I would be counting on Eli much, but he does seem to play better when he doesn't have to deal with adverse weather conditions. So, that might mean a closer game than you would ordinarily think. But even given that, I think the Bucs will continue to overachieve and send the overrated Giants back home to NY very unhappy.

Eli plays well on the road. That much is evident this season .... the Buffalo game was windy, rainy, snowy, and cold. Numbers aside (obviously) Eli played a decent game in HORRIBLE conditions .... ON THE ROAD. Anyway, none of this means crap unless Eli plays well on the road against the vastly over rated Sucs.
