Any intrest in a 4-way box split?

So, I have $300 burning a hole in my paypal account and came up with an idea.

I'd like to go in with 3 others on a 4-way box split from BBcard Exchange.

Ideally, 4 boxes would be great so each of us would get 9 packs from a wax box or 6 packs from a cello box. However, I realize that breaks down to $300 boxes, and maybe if we do only 2 or three we could get a better box, or get cheaper stuff and maybe 4 or 5 boxes.

I kinda' have me heart set on a box of 86 football, but I'm willing to consider other boxes from all sports when/if we put this together. I'm sure Steve would ship directly to the 4 of us.

So, anyone interested? Please offer some suggestions on how to split up the $1,200.

Other interesting boxes include 78 baseball wax, 79 baseball wax/cello, 80 baseball cello, 1979-1985 football wax/cello, 78 basketball wax, 79 basketball wax, hockey?

    I'm partial to football, basketball and hockey - 'cause the hit-to-pack ratio is much greater than with the baseball.

    No, not at all. That's what the thread is all about. Finding a way to split up $1,200 and make the 4 participants happy.

    If I had my choice, It would be:

    1979 topps baseball cello (375)
    1980 topps baseball cello (250)
    1982 topps football wax (100)
    1979 topps basketball wax (250)
    1981 donruss golf (160)
    1987 Topps hockey wax (140)

    That's a little over $1,200, but I'm guessing Steve would do it.

    So, if anyone is interested, let me know what you would swap out and for what. I figured there would be at least a little interest. May take a week to put a deal together, but I'll try.

    I'd be interested in starting a raw set from that era? 79 was one of my favorite years, but I wouldn't care.

    My problem is I'm not going to be by my computer starting tomorrow til the 25th. I won't be by a pc, phone or Post Office??? But I'd probably be back by the time the packs got to me, as long as we could settle this today. image

    I would ask Steve if he could do:

    One 1981 Football cello box - $525
    Two 1981 Football Wax boxes - $800

    For $1,200 delivered. That's only knocking approximately 9% off of his list price which is not unreasonable for all the business he gets from the CU guys. Then all 4 participants get 6 cellos and 18 wax packs each. Just my thoughts of course.

    Nam, not a bad idea but I'd rather mix it up a little with years and/or sports. Not that there's anything wrong with 81 football.

    I'm sure steve will get more 86 fb soon.
