Fred Taylor talking trash... about Heinz Field

Fred Taylor isn't worried as much about the Pittsburgh Steelers' home-field advantage as he is their bad field.

Taylor, the Jaguars' star running back, chided the Steelers yesterday for their substandard grass field. He suggested they spend $1 million (U.S.) on artificial turf to improve one of the NFL's worst playing surfaces.

The Jaguars play an AFC wild-card game in Pittsburgh on Saturday night, their second visit there in less than a month.

"That field is terrible," Taylor said in a conference call with Pittsburgh reporters. "That's a lawsuit pending. That's ridiculous.''

Taylor's comments were unexpected only because he ran for 147 yards and the winning touchdown on that snow-covered, mushy field during Jacksonville's 29-22 victory at Pittsburgh on Dec.16.

Also, the Jaguars pride themselves on being a Pittsburgh-like team that wins with the run and a strong defence. Pittsburgh running back Willie Parker calls them "the Steelers of the South."

Taylor owned the Steelers when they played a few weeks ago, and he will own them this week...oh and Jones Drew aint
    that bad either!

Pats want no part of this team.

The Steelers are banged up pretty bad with the biggest loss being Willie Parker. The Jags know they can win in Pittsburgh so I think
they will be going into the game with a lot of confidence. I'm sure the Pats will be rooting for the Steelers.

I think Jacksonville may win, but there's no way they're beating New England. Mostly every big game that Jacksonville plays in, they choke. They had everything lined up for them to beat the Colts this year (either time), and they didn't do it, either time...They're a great regular season team, but Garrard has never played in a playoff game before...we'll see!

Like I said before the Jags are a decent team but not as decent as New England, Indy or Pittsburgh. Fragile Fred should be concerned about that Heinz field terrain- very easy to turn an ankle or tear a groin... image
