Why is it there's tons of 1994 Flair A-Rod rookies, but no complete sets?

Okay, I'm both a fan of Finest and Flair sets from the 1990s. Unfortunately, I only have the 1993 Flair set (relatively easy to find and cheap on Ebay). I'd also like to get the 1994 and 1995 Flair sets as well, but what's so frustrating is that there are what seems like billions of 1994 Flair A-Rod singles on Ebay, but there is (at this point) ZERO complete sets of either 1994 and 1995 Flair. Anyhoo, I just thought I'd take the time to rant as well as ask if anyone here has those sets (preferably both on one purchase) for sale or trade. I'd also like to get the insert sets (especially 1994) as well; luckily my Secret Santa gave me a head start with the Outfield Power and Hot Numbers insert sets from 1994 (just three more to go!).

  • Probably because there is virtually no interest in them, which makes building a set to sell on eBay a losing endeavor (from a financial standpoint).

Well, at least this way they should be cheap. image

    exactly.

I'm sure a set will be sold eventually, just add it to your eBay favorite searches and they'll email when you a set "pops up."

I was just going thru my complete sets the other day and found my 94 Flair. My local shop (when I was still in Mpls) had unopened Flair boxes and I put the set together. Nice stuff. Nice card stock too. Not sure what I have on 95 Flair. Think I bought some packs though.

just find an unopened box an buy it. I think you get pretty much a full set in a box anyway.

Looks like with shipping a ser 1 and 2 box would be $90-100 total. And you would in no way be guaranteed of completing a set. I would speculate it would take at least 2 boxes of each series.

Hey Estil, I have some complete 1995 Flair sets. I cant remember if I have any complete 1994 sets, but I am sure at the very least I could get you pretty close minus the A-rods if your interested.
  • I do have have a 1994 Flair set I could sell, but it would not include the A-rod. And it looks like I have 4 of the 1995 Flair sets. Let me know if I can help.
