Conders Rule at Spink!

If you like Conders, you won't want to miss the new auction catalogue from Spink, now
available online. It is not often we get to see such a huge array of mules, bracteates, off-metal strikes, patterns, and die states!
Here are a couple that are calling my name, and maybe some of yours' as well:

Hope you all have a great '08!

I never pay too much for my tokens...but every now and then I may buy them too soon.

works out to something like $865 per lot. Pretty impressive! Spink had invoices for the sale
out in email within a few hours. I hope there are some success stories on the board!
I didn't pay much attention to the Renaissance medals and plaques laid out at Spink's NY
offices. However, to put the Conder sale in perspective, their afternoon auction of 174
Renaissance medals and plaques went for 462,770 pounds! Even after excluding the top
three lots (which brought 292,000 pounds) this works out to $2360 per lot.

No success stories here, alas. I feel like the market for Conders, Davis coppers, and Dalton silver is beginning to leave me behind in the dust after 30 years of accumulating them at will, it seems. I'm still scratching my head.
