the ONLY time I ever root for Michigan!

If it wasn't for the 4 turnovers, the game would have been a beating and a half.
  • I hate to root for Florida, but I've got to root for an SEC team. I wouldn't have ever imagined that Michican would contain Teebo like that.

    Tebow played pretty well.
He accounted for over 200 yards and 4 TDs between passing and running.

    35 points isn't exactly containment.
Flordia just has no defense. Haven't had one all season. Michigan only had to punt twice the entire game.

Congrats to Michigan... they clearly played the better game and deserved to win. I think Michigan turned the ball over 4 times... they survived.

Illinois turned the ball over at least 4 times and USC scored each time.

USF, FSU, UF all lose their bowl games.
Not a good year for Florida....

Congrats to Michigan, best game I've ever seen Henne play. Florida was outplayed and out coached.

    Agreed... even with the turnovers...

The score shouldn't have been as close as it was, but as long as you win it's all good. Michigan struggled this year, but good to see Carr go out on a good note. And I've said it to quite a few people over the last couple of years... Manningham will probably be good, but watch out for Arrington.

Poor Kevin... the wheels fell off your bandwagon this year. Last year when FSU stunk, you jumped on the Gator wagon. This year when FSU sucked again and got thumped by Florida, you jumped on again saying Florida could beat any top 5 team in the country. Maybe that's possible, but they couldn't beat an unranked team like Michigan so it's unlikely.

I saw on another board that Urban threw his seniors under the bus in the post game press conference. What does it really say about college football when guys like Petrino, Saban, Neuheisel and Urban are in demand and guys like Carr have to go.

Very happy to see Carr go out a winner. From what I have seen the guy has Class.

agree, 4 turnovers kept Florida in the game.

    Great point

    Florida's time is next year....image
  • I was at the game. All I have to say is that everyone needs to watch out for UF next year. I believe they lose 5 starters. Michigan is going to lose more than 5 starters on offense alone.

Florida schools went 1-4 in bowls this year. UCF lost to Miss. St. and FAU beat Memphis as well as the other 3 losses already mentioned.

Tad bitter, rube? It's understandable, as I believe you guys lost a solid coach and Michigan has hired one. As their game against OU may indicate, you guys are probably still in capable or even better hands. Solid performance by WVU.

Obviously Rodriguez never threw the game against Pitt. In a year of upsets in college football, this was merely another. Sure, it sucks to lose to Pitt, but... it could have been worse (App St. - lol). Michigan will likely benefit from Rodriguez being here. Carr was a superior rep for the university, but he was simply not positioning this team to contend for a championship often enough. I believe this was because he wasn't willing to expand his coaching philosophies. Rodriguez has shown a willingness to do so. This will also bring more of the phenoms in via recruiting. For instance, Pryor (the #1 High School QB) was not really even considering Michigan until they hired Rodriguez.

In the end, it's hard to blame Rodriguez. Michigan FB is one of those jobs that many coaches consider to be at, or near, the top. Not only is it a school rich in history, but they play in a major conference and recruiting here can sometimes be done by name alone. I hope Rodriguez can help this team be a major power again. He seems like a good guy from the interviews I've seen. If he can have success and represent the university with a fraction of what Carr was able to do, he'll be welcomed.

Hopefully WVU continues to have success as well. Their new coach deserved an opportunity after his bowl game.
