1924 Wills Golf - Sub Pop with Scans

I purchased this set raw and decided to submit all 25 cards, these are the results. I'm not sure I understand some of the grades, all cards have very clean backs. All of these cards have Outstanding Eye Appeal, which is why I wanted them all slabbed. I think they look great.

While adding this set to the registry, I realized that the PSA Cert numbers are in numbered order from 07289842 - 07289866. I have never had or not sure if I had seen another set with all the cards have sequential cert numbers.

I just thought that was cool.

Nice scans. Those are some sweet PSA 4s and 5s. Any idea why they didn't grade higher? I've always felt PSA grades the larger vintage golf cards harsher than the smaller ones.

It took me about 5 years to put together a 7.5+ GPA set. Unfortunately, I sold the set last summer. I'm on the hunt again but doubt I will be able to amass another set that nice any time soon, if ever.

Thanks Peter, I have no idea why they graded so low. I can't find any wrinkles or creases. It seems they graded some harder than others in the same sub.

Sitll a nice looking set, I am glad I found it. I'm not sure how long I will hang on to it.
