1911-D Lincoln's...

Ok, I don't have one to post but I will be shopping for one in 2008. First Denver mint cent...how exciting!!!

Anyway, it seems that the biggest issue with 1911-D cents in mint state are that they have mushy or weak strikes. Both Lange and QDB state that finding one with a strong stike in gem condition is a true challenge and a conditional rarity unto its own. One expert believes that only 10% of the 1911-D's in mint state are beholden with a strong mintmark...interesting!

Comments regarding mint state 1911-D Lincoln's, strike and mintmark are appreciated.

Also post a picture of your 1911-D Lincoln's (MS or Circulated)...inspiration for my Lincoln collecting campaign in 2008image.!!!

There are a cpl a few 11-d's in my store, but I'm adding the more tonight and tommorow, some higher grades. YES they are difficult, and if yer good, you can cherry pick an Rpm and an Omm on these, I have one of each in my set, paid 11-d money for them and got them under a loupe and found the cherry !!
