Business Strike with type "B' reverse

It's super clean. I got no problem with the 66. If these type "B" reverses ever start commanding a big premium, there will be a problem with people pulling proof coins and marketing them or trying to pass them off as business strikes with the type 'B' reverse.

Very possible, But in most cases I think the rims will be a dead givaway, this just happens to be a nice one, but in hand you can tell its a B/S, I have some in other dates that the reverses are mirrored, I think these are going to get alot of attention soon.....Happy Holidays

The B reverse for this year was on the Proofs, not the BS, if my understanding is correct.

This has already happened to me twice in 2007. One was a dealer who cheerfully refunded my money. The other was somebody selling his father's collection who had no idea what he was doing. I cherrypicked his "B" but it turned out to be a pristine proof. He sent it naked inside a safe-t-mailer. Those adhesive surfaces are NOT safe for proofs. There is a tarnish spot now. At $1, it wasn't worth asking for a refund. He seemed genuinely surprised that I questioned his packing methods.

I assume we shall see real scams eventually. I once thought that perhaps the presence of proofs would keep the price down on the business strikes B's. I also thought the clad D mint type B's had a future since there were no proofs of the same mint to confuse or compete with them. But the clads are the Rodney Dangerfield of coins.
