What's the best "bonus" you've ever received?

Just wondered what's the best bonus you have ever received in purchasing cards?

In 1982, I laid out 115.00 for a complete 1965 Topps baseball set (should have bought the '64 set for 125.00 from the same ad but who knew?)...Set was ex-m but one card turned out to be more along the lines of vg-ex...Seller apologized and sent a freebie with the set, a '53 Bowman Musial #32 in ex-m condition. Oh those were the days!

  • Back around 1997 when Playoff football had the scratch game in the packs I won a $5000 gift card to spend at any card shop. I made arrangement with the card should to have a running total until the money was gone. There were only 3 winners of this.

I bought a Tim Brown SOTT card a couple of months ago. The seller ended up sending the wrong card to me. After about a month, I recieved the Tim Brown SOTT along with a very sweet Tim Brown patch card. I really wasn't expecting anything extra but it was a cool bonus.

  • Once, a nurse pinched my ass in the hall.

    Not sure what that was.
  • I received a $1,000 dollar bonus from the sportsbook I wager with this XMAS.

I purchased a game used multi signed Patriots helmet a few months back for a good price. They guy also included a new replica Lawyer Milloy jersey and a Ben Watson signed mini helmet.

And as far as giving a bonus, a few months ago I listed a bunch of smaller items on Ebay. One lady purchased 12 lots from me, so I threw in about 10 free items and upgraded her shipping at no charge.
    Looking for Carl Willey items.

  • Won a raw T205 Cobb listed as VG from a shigley collection auction on eBay. When I received the package in the mail, there was a T205 Wolter in the package along with the Cobb. In the note that came with it, he said he was so pleased with the final price on the Cobb he wanted me to have the T205 common also.

Sent both cards into PSA. Cobb came back PSA 4 and Wolter came back PSA 5!

When Jeff Blake took over for Boomer he had Zero cards except for 1992 Courtside football which booked for a quarter. I placed an ad in SCD offering to buy his cards at 4x book. Why? Cause those cards were selling in Cincy for 6.95 ea retail and 3 wholesale. I flipped almost 400 cards that year along with 10 auto cards that someone put in the stack....Me and famila had a great holiday that year!
