    HK-1 1825 , only the books begining point IMHO.

    edited to ad pic and info that the "turd" coindeuce has a much nicer specimen with original holder that i envy!!

    There are many medals from Europe that would likely qualify that are older than the Erie Canal. Thing is that the book by HK only lists USA medals.
