1848 medium date. PCGS pop 11/11....NGC 12/25,........I liked it for $475.

    A little mottled but I like the originality...and the date. Still, I'm partial to the large date variety. And I just noticed that some jamoke must have made numerous resubmissions on a MS64+ coin as the pop in 64 of the LD is way too high to make sense (3X the MD variety). But you see this from time to time on some better seated coins.

    I like! Too many moderns in my collection as of late, think my next coin is going to be a nice example of this type of coin for my type set!

    Oops. Was looking at a 2005 pop report. In fact, 5 of those LD submission disappeared by 2007 (reduced from 13 to 8...with no new ones in higher grades). Looks like the guy with the 64+ went to NGC and got his 65 over there. Then turned in 5 labels, possibly to bolster the price of his 65.

    It is a tiny coin.

    My old eyes needs the coin to fill the frame, than I will give you my opinion.
