I actually wasnt going to attend FUN this year, but after getting the Platinum catalog I think I am going to drive down to look at the lots. One reason was I didnt want to drive 10hrs by myself as none of my freinds are attending this year. However, I found a local collector/dealer who wants too tag along for the ride to pick up (all things) 2 cases of 2008 American Silver Eagles.
Those of you who know me, know that I basically sold off my entire collection of better date/key-date stuff well over a year ago, and started a local coin business, which I love doing a great deal. It was hard to break the collector mentality, but I did it succesfully. But after looking through the Platinum sale I think I might just try to bring something substantial back with me, for me to keep. (Ill see after looking at the lots ??).
Looks to be some great coins in the sale, as well as I may actually look at 1 lot in the upcoming Long Beach sale I have a dear intrest in.
I also will be able to look at a very scarce coin that a freind of mine is pursuing (a 20yr opportunity and he will take it home) in hand as he has to bid thru live phone.
