My Hungarian and Russian coins(only second post here)

Hi,
I'm usually on the other side of the forum. I heard the dark side can be a lot of funimage

I started collecting coins only a few years ago. Ironically, my first coin was a Hungarian gold 20 Korona.
After that I have collected a small amount of each Russian and Hungarian coins. Since then I have been involved in the
US collection's. But now I want to go back to what I started to collect.

I posted the coins that I have so you can get an idea.
Some of you may have seen this on the other side.
What other gold/silver coins would you recommend that could embellish my collections?
The Russian coins are limited to only a few gold and I want to expand into gold and silver.
The prices should not be too extravagant
Does anyone have any suggestions?
What are some of the key dates and denominations?

Stefanie

Welcome Stefanie, you have some great coins to start off on the Darkside there.

My best recommendation is to check out the various volumes of Krause's Standard Catalog of World Coins. Divided by century, they are an indispensible start to any casual or serious interest in world coins. Not to mention a heck of a lot of fun to just browse through.

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome.

I have the Krause's Standard Catalog of World Coins
but it only goes back to 1901 I have to get the one before that.
Do you have any suggestions on where to get it?
Do local big chain stores carry it?

Also, does anyone know the Ebay seller "cashsticker"
He has some Awesome Russian coins but since I am not familiar with them I am not to confident.
Here is a link, let me know what you think.
    Thanks,
    Stefanie

Great coins Stefanie! The hogmouth taler is a beauty.

I see a few nice quality hungarian minors float through eBay at very reasonable prices each month. Russian stuff in general is selling at crazy money right now, but some of the minors from the 19th century can be purchased at ok prices if they are raw. Any rouble in decent condition minted on or before 1915 will set you back some money. The 1896, 1897, 1898, 1899, and 1900 used to be the most affordable.

    Good luck!
