  • i am a metal detector type of guy. this is a nice little find i think. i like them, they have alot of history. more than the dirt, where were they before their final burial?

    Looks as if they were found on a dig in Upstate NY.
  • anywhere that people lived is a great place to hunt i think. i did alot of east fl. beaches for afew yrs. some nice stuff down there can be found. it rhymes with mold.

    I found an 1872 IHC before... but we were robbed and that was the end of that. Everything's in the safe deposit box now... that's life.

    Wow, sold for $50, I sure hope who ever bought them knows a little about cleaning them- I don't think there's going to be to much hope on the '72 (the money coin)- it looks like deep corrosion. Even after cleaning will most likely be very heavily pot marked. The '76 might not be as bad, but has some nasty rim gouges.
