Hello Everyone,
Does anyone know where mintages from individual denominations could by available of the coins struck in the 1860's (mainly the civil war era) and listed per month??? I'm not sure if these exist, but I think that there might be a chance that I can find them somewhere. I need these if they exist for research which I plan to use in a future article but have no idea where to find this.
Thanks,
Dennis

Most of the Philadelphia gold and silver mintages for this era can be found in the Numismatic Scrapbook Magazine
for the 1960s. Mintages, including proofs, are reported by day of delivery,
Denga
As David Tripp explains in "Illegal Tender", coins were minted and examined and then, when the coiner had enough for a "delivery", they were delivered to the cashier. All of these transfers were recorded and the Mint's records are in the National Archives. (I think the SF Mint archives are on the west coast and the Philadelphia Mint archives are in Maryland.)
In the 1960s, RW Julian published many articles that reported details like die deliveries and detailed mint records. As denga said, these articles were published in the Numismatic Scrapbook. You may be able to find these articles through the Harry Bass Index. Unfortunately, the Numismatic Scrapbook articles aren't online anywhere, so you'll have to get the physical magazines or get copies through the ANA Library. (They may be able to send you copies of the articles.)
