Daughters Christmas Gift

Well, this was indeed a surprise. Our 14 yr old daughter somehow got me this for the holiday. When asked, the wife just smiles... image Considering we live 50 miles (Badlands of SoDak) from a town of 58,000 which has only one small coin shop. This Good/Fine 1829 CBH, O-105 (w/obverse die crack) was one which was needed for the old BCBHDC, 124 coins/115 varieties. While far from perfect and a relatively common variety it's one of the most valuable in the collection now...

Check out how the angle of the coin can hide a pretty significant die crack.

Take Care
Ben

Looks like you got a very valuable coin in more ways than one.

Congrats on both the family and the half.

Congratulations on a great and meaningful coin. I received a nice circ CC Dollar for Christmas from a family member, so I know the feeling.

    Ben,

Daughters are special, you are a lucky man to have one who thinks of you in this unique way. That coin just became priceless!

Thanks Guys, appreciate all the kind comments. Really wasn't looking for complements (as shown by the coin condition itself, LOL) but just wanted to let ya'll know that she bought it with her own money from baby-sitting, allowance, and chores.

Reckon she paid about $40-$50 for it because I called the dealer in town and he said "I gave her a great deal... image" He's the secretary of our local coin club so...
