New 20 cent piece for the 7070.

I just recieved this today from ebay. Paid $355 for it. I think the coin has wear of an AU55, but a few contact marks knock it down to a 53. It will work fine for my 7070. What do you think for the price. Sorry, lighting in photo was a little off.

Very nice. I think you're grading it about right, though I'd say it has both nicer than average luster and a better than usual strike. I think you did pretty well.

In hand you would think so......my photography is not that good. The one on the right is much lighter in the photo than in person. It has a nice even gray color. The one on the left has luster around the edges and has an old 1983 anacs photo certificate with it. Grading was pretty strict back then, and if they say it's problem free........with the coin in hand, I see no reason to disagree.

The coin was raw and appears to have been dipped, as it is white with no toning. It's a good coin for the 7070 and should aquire some secondary toning after relaxing for a few years. I try and find decent AU raw coins in the more expensive slots such as this. It's always a risk to crack an MS coin and put in an album. If you happen to put some slide marks on it, you can lose a great deal of value.

The previous coin on the left is the best of the three. The coin you just purchased does nothing for me. It is just another overpriced, dipped coin.

The amount of happy talk you are getting regarding your purchase just amazes me.

I wouldn't call $355 for an AU 20 cent piece overpriced. Granted the coin is white, but other than being dipped, it's problem free. Like I said, the coin is probably an AU53, maybe a 55. Please show me an AU 20 cent piece, dipped or not for that kind of money.
