He's got my vote too , not only great posts but one of the most generous people I have ever met in my life .

Knowing how hard it is to give up some of the stuff we have accumulated over the years we grow quite attached to it and to just give it away to someone you hardly even know ??

I couldn't say enough about the man .

This is another example of why I voted for Rube, because not only is it authentic frontier gibberish, but it also expresses a courage seldom seen in this day and age. - Blazing Saddles.

I was watching the Deer Hunter last night on satellite and I kept picturing Rube being the Christopher Walken character.

I would be afraid NOT to vote for Rube!

I support the vote for Rube as well.

At first, I saw his posts and thought to myself, "Who is this newbie... I can barely understand what this guy is typing...."

Once I figured out his language, and saw pictures of all the heavy artillary, I started liking the guy's posts more!

Good job! Keep up the good work.

  • Is Stone and Rube the same person?
  • lol. stone and rube are two very different folks.

Rube, sorry but after much consideration I have to change my vote to Teknobailey. In his short time here, he:

    - Turned down $3 for a couple raw 1986 Topps Jim Gantner cards
    - Got pissed because of a little good-natured ribbing.
    - Started a thread saying he couldn't take it any more and was taking a break from the boards.
    - After his "break" (roughly 16 hours), came back asking to piggy-back onto someone's PSA submission to circumvent paying the $99 to become a member.
    - Started two separate threads announcing that he was leaving the boards for good, then continued posting.
    - Cursed out several board members, which was truly awesome.
    - Had multiple threads locked and gave carolj a headache.
    - Inspired roughly 4,578 spoof threads, which normally I don't care for, but the sheer mass quantity was highly amusing.
    - Was presumably banned indefinitely.

Now that is a fine scope of work that I don't think will ever be topped. So, I say this with much regret in my heart and a tear in my eye: I cannot in good conscience give my vote to Rube. I hope you all understand.

I'm honored. Truly, I am. But I'd happily transfer that title and all the responsibilities that come with it if it means that Tekno is once again thrust into the limelight.
