I love these auctions! At least his is honest in his ebay name.

I had a recent ebay purchase, NOT from this guy, anyways he won an expensive coin and got my phone number off of ebay and he calls me in the middle of work and wants to talk about die varieties. I told him I would call him later after work. I get home and grab a beer at 5:30 and this joker calls me again. he wants to know what other varieties I had to see if he could buy them from me. I tell him about a few of the tougher coins I have cherried and he goes on and on about how he must have this coin for his registry set. I told him I would come up with a price and let him know. He then spends a freaking hour explaining how he screws people on ebay. Multiple accounts, shill bidding, and doing crap like this. " I put a low grade BU VDB cent showing at the end then fill it up with other coins." He sold a roll for $240 a few weeks ago and would not accept a return so he got negged. He had maybe $20 in the roll and in his description he says it came out of his bank vault with probably many BU coins, gems and key dates, but he isn't sure as he never searched these gem rolls, they could all be BU 1909 S VDB's. He brags about building these rolls a week before he sells them. So he calls me to complain about the neg and ask if I came up with a price for my coin. I told him $XXXX, twice what it is worth, he said okay, I'll paypal you on monday. I was sick to my stomach with this guy already and was thrilled he didn't send the money as promised on Monday. 3 weeks later he calls saying he'll pay me in 2 days, I told him to go F himself and lose my number and hung up. I have been trying to figure out his other ebay accounts as he will log off one to bid on his own coin from the same computer if he doesn't like the price. He cancels auctions, he lies and screws his customers. But I have nothing to prove it any ideas?? Sorry for the rant, this auction just reminded me of him.

Sounds like he really sucks and you listened to him a lot longer than I would have.
If he uses the same computer, ebay can see it if they look. Report him for shilling....esp if you have more info.
There are boards members here that know that ebay can see multiple accounts using the same PC

"There are boards members here that know that ebay can see multiple accounts using the same PC" Interesting. If that's true, and I'll bet it is, it seems that shilling would be very easy to catch. There was a thread I saw yeesterday on a well-known ebayer with a couple of possible shills. I guess the shilling just inflates the fees ebay collects, which is a disincentive to get rid of them.
